Stephany Ley Certified Lactation Counselor Nursing Assistant Breastfeeding Consultant Altamonte Springs

Stephany brings over 14 years of experience in healthcare, dedicating much of her career to Orlando Health’s Baby-Friendly Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. Her background spans Med/Surg, Women’s Health, Mother-Baby, Postpartum, and Antepartum care, making her a strong advocate for family-centered care in the community. Her passion for advocacy was deepened by her own journey as a new mom, where she experienced firsthand the need for greater resources and support for both parents and healthcare providers. “Everyone deserves the best care possible. Often, this requires providers from diverse backgrounds to collaborate in helping a patient or dyad achieve their goals.” She is a firm believer in holistic care, treating the individual as a whole rather than focusing on isolated concerns.

Stephany’s commitment to maternal and infant health has led her to attend specialized training, such as the Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention Workshop. She has a keen interest in Speech Pathology, Orofacial Myology, and Craniosacral Therapy for their benefits in supporting successful breastfeeding and long term health. Her dedication to ongoing education has seen her accumulate knowledge in Infant Risk, Virology (including COVID-19 and Breastmilk), Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs), Infant Gut Biome, Lactation, and Loss, to name a few. With a self-described “research junky” approach, she continually expands her expertise. Stephany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida. Alongside her role as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) at Lactation Consultants of Central FL, she serves as a Neuropsych specialists in the pharmaceutical industry. Stephany has also been the Director of Marketing & Sales for a breast pump manufacturing company, so she has a particular specialty in breast pumps.

Stephany and her family reside in the Longwood/Apopka area. “A Lactation Consultant sees the mother and her baby as one interconnected unit, and the family functions together as a whole. The best support I can offer is evidence-based information, empowering families to make informed choices that align with their unique needs. My hope is that by helping people begin with strength, love, and care, they can build a strong, supportive future.”—Stephany Ley
