The Platinum Package is perfect for expectant moms who are planning to breastfeed and wish to get off to a good start with breastfeeding. The benefit of this breastfeeding help package includes increased cost savings ($50 savings), establishing a relationship with your lactation counselor, learning the basics of breastfeeding before your baby arrives, and guarantees you in-person, expert breastfeeding support as you begin your breastfeeding journey. Your package includes 3 visits – 1 Private, In-Home Breastfeeding Class + 2 Comprehensive Lactation Consultations.
Prenatal Breastfeeding Classes are done in the privacy of your own home and can be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you. All lactation consultations and breastfeeding classes are with a Certified Lactation Counselor and allow up to one hour for a discussion about your upcoming breastfeeding journey, preparing your personal Breastfeeding Success Plan, the basics of a good latch, tips on positioning, and an opportunity to get all of your questions answered.

- Help with your birth plan to include steps for breastfeeding your baby immediately after delivery
- Help with a ‘back up plan’ in the event breastfeeding is not initiated immediately after delivery or complications arise soon after
- Help selecting a quality pump suitable for your level of use and budget
- Help creating your personal Breastfeeding Success Plan
- Discussion surrounding latch and what to look for when evaluating your baby’s latch
- Discussion surrounding proper positioning
- Discussion surrounding newborn feeding cues and feeding patterns
- Discussion about common pitfalls of breastfeeding and how to avoid them
- Fitting for pump flanges (if you have plans to pump)
- Handouts and information guides on latch, positioning, feeding cues, communicating with your baby, and ‘trouble signs’

Prenatal Breastfeeding Classes can be scheduled any day of the week, between the hours of 8am and 7pm.
Comprehensive Lactation Consultations are done in the privacy of your own home or hospital room and can be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you. All consultations are with a Certified Lactation Counselor and allow up to two hours for latch assessment, help with positioning, observation of a feeding, a pre- and post-feeding weight check, troubleshooting of any breastfeeding or pumping issues, and an opportunity to get all of your questions answered.

- Weight check (before and after a feeding) to determine how much milk your baby is getting
- Assessment of baby’s milk transfer

- Advanced troubleshooting of up to 3 breastfeeding or pumping issues

Weight checks are performed using an electronic infant scale for improved accuracy and will provide you with important information about your milk supply and your baby’s ability to transfer milk at the breast.
Following your prenatal breastfeeding class you will receive a receipt for service (i.e. Superbill) which may be needed for insurance reimbursement. Following each of your lactation consultations you will receive a copy of the lactation report, notes from your visit, any recommendations your lactation counselor has made for you, as well as a receipt for service (i.e. Superbill) which may be needed for insurance reimbursement. Comprehensive Lactation Consultations can be scheduled any day of the week, between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Please choose a time when your baby will likely be ready for a feeding to allow for an assessment of latch and observation of a feeding. Follow-up comprehensive consultations are designed to address any on-going or difficult breastfeeding problems and will include a more detailed assessment of your breastfeeding challenges.
